Low recoil buckshot in TS-12

Post by GunnyGene » Sun Apr 06, 2025 6:27 am

Finally found some low recoil 00buck to try out. Wasn't sure if it would cycle since it (RIO) was only 1200fps, which is right at the minimum required to cycle the action according to IWI. But it did cycle perfectly on the HI gas system setting. The only minor issue was the RIO ammo is a roll crimp, so loading 5 in the tube was a little difficult due to it being a little longer than std shells.

Somewhat softer than say Federal 00 or Winchester SuperX by a little, but since I have a compensator and a much better aftermarket butt pad installed the difference is not as great as what you'd feel on a unmodified gun.
