I guess 9mm is not a bad round. I have an uncle, who was a trooper, told me that an inmate brought a claim against him and his partner that they did not have to shoot him (inmate) with so many rounds. I guess that he thought they shot him too much. Of course, I wonder if they were a bad shot or 9mm was not stopping him. In either case, I do not want to find out. Yet, innocent bystanders are a concern. So, 9mm does have its place. When I was a correctional officer, we carried .38s for that reason. If someone breaks into a house, innocent bystanders are not as much of a concern. But, he has told me to use jacketed hollow points. However, a shot in a vital area with any round, may do the job. As for cost, I have not bought any lately.
