All this could be why there is so much propaganda right now about .22 for self defense. Bought some "Federal Punch" recently which is labeled as a self defense load.
Haven't seen any of those.

220, I'd say you're in pretty good shape. Only thing I seem to run a bit low on are cast bullets, but, those are easy to get nowadays.

Yeah I am lucky in that until a bit over 12 months ago we had a retail business that included ammo and components so I always got the pick of stuff that was available
Sold the business but new owners didnt take on the shooting side of things, have still been selling the stock we have on hand slowly to loyal customers that contact me as we are no longer open and doing so at the price things were priced at when they came in.
Prices here in Aus have gone mad the last 12 months, hard to find lots of things. Some of the major retailers are asking $20/100 for primers even more for match primers. I spent yesterday going through what stock we still have left added another 2k small pistol to my own stash along with another 500 small and large rifle and some Fed 209 shotgun that I was out of. 5k 22lr, 500 17HM2 and 100 220swift as my old brass is due to be scrapped.
Everything else is now listed for sale on one of the Aussie shooting forums, I almost feel bad with some of the prices I have put on stuff but like I said to the wife if we are having to pay 100% more for gas than we were 12 months ago and big increases on most other essentials then why shouldnt we sell what we have at current market value.

Just North of NYC, 22lr, 9mm, 45acp .38 special (non P) ,. ,357, OO Buck, Bird Shot, .223 can be found in FFLs. That's it. Prices are insane here. I order from the few online stores that will ship to my residence. Prices are better through them by 15-20%.

Looks like they were worried about over penetration with the 22lr.
A subsonic 29gr 22lr load just about duplicates the ballistics of 22 short loads. I if I was forced to use 22lr for self defense think I would go with a load like the CCI Velocitors with a 40gr HP at 1400fps. Still anemic with only 174ft/lbs but a lot more then the 74ft/lbs of the defense load.

Picked up some Blazer Brass 9mm at my LGS for $17 a box, 4 box limit. Currently I really don't think it will be getting any cheaper so will probably getting some more to add to my supply.

Nice to hear! That's as close to being back to normal that I've heard yet. I would grab a bunch.

Wow, not too many years ago I refused to pay over $10 for 9mm brass case. I agree, $17 per box seems like a reasonable deal these days. Good find Dave.
