The Hobby Room
I don’t have a gun room. I have a hobby room where my hobby is firearms. I’ve spent many hours in this room reloading and tinkering with my Henrys. I don’t reload anymore but still like to handle my firearms and have a place to photograph them.
The six ceiling lights in this room are bright light 23w LED putting out 1600 lumens each. That is a lot of light that can be pointed at the center table. This is a crude rifle stand that can be used for holding rifles for cleaning or a range trip. I had a tanker desk under the cupboards. It will be replaced with a double counter high center table. Ammo cans will be sacked where the old desk was. After the large safe is back I will reattach four steel Stack-On cabinet where it’s not painted. I still need to do the ceiling line and touch up a few spots. The rain has been so heavy a range trip would not be a fun trip. Might as well stay home and work. I hope to get a lot done in the next week so a range trip would be a great reward.

Thanks for the tour of the outer edge of the infamous Sir Henry aka Lithgow 303 firearms and ammunition bunker system. Just having a little fun with you.
Memories of some discussions long ago on Ruger.net Some folks got their pantys in a wad over hoarding ammo way back when.
Good to see you back in the hobby room.

Is there a reason that you'd line up your long guns underneath the window? I'd be afraid of smash and grab.

Re: The Hobby Room
The house is built on a slope and that window is high about the ground. Part of my security is being invisible. Hence the name hobby room and not gun room.

Re: The Hobby Room
The room is taking shape. I picked up the Craftsman tool cart yesterday and put it together. I think I’m going to remove the wheels to lower it and make it more stable.

Sir Henry, that room is really taking shape. I think your wall color selection is fantastic and that giant tool box fits in nicely. Like you, I have what I call my gun room because it shares space with my reloading/gun work bench, “Gun stuff” dresser, ammo storage, safes and my office desk. A nice multi-use room like yours. Love the old school gun rack on top of your tool chest.

Re: The Hobby Room
Thanks. I need to unload the toolbox and take the wheels off. It will make it lower and make it more stable. The gun rack holds three Henrys. Re: The Hobby Room
The wheels are off the tool chest and the Stack-On cabinets are bolted to the wall along with the gun rack. The tool chest is out far enough from the wall so the upper cover can be opened enough to lock the drawers.
Doesn’t look like much work but it’s taken me most of the day.

Re: The Hobby Room
I tore out the old home made shelf and bought a Craftsman bench.
I had to assembly it inside the closet.

What a great idea to put the reloading area in the closet with good front access. You could lock it to keep little hands out if necessary.

It is nice to be able to close it off. Sometimes something needs to be torn apart for several days. Good way of preventing missing screws.
