.... our GE dishwasher died, today I plan to start a computer search .... tomorrow we hope to get out and about actively looking for one .... suggestions would be most welcome

What did you end up getting Jim?
When I bought my home, it came with a newer Bosch dish washer. It's super quiet and does a great job. I was so impressed, when it came time for the stove replacement, I went with Bosch too.
