Just wondering if anybody has one, or any experience with a manual wood splitter? Looking on line at them, and they have pretty good reviews for the 10 ton version. Wanting one for the cabin this year, but not gonna spend a $1000.00 or more for a powered one. I have a lot of wood from view clearing up there, but it all needs split. I'm done swinging a Maul!! Back just cannot take it any more. Looks like I can get a decent one for $ 175.00 or less. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Here's one, might cost a little more but if you have a lot to split might be worth it

Black powder. Drill a hole, powder it, fuse it, plug it, light it. Less work, more fun.

Or get a bp splitting wedge for the short pieces:

A manual wood splitter is you a sledge and a splitting maul. You need the exercise anyway split that would like they did 100 years ago.

Yeah, I wish Bud. Not long ago I used to look at it that way. Unfortunately, now it's mechanical help, or, the hospital!
