New Washer and Dryer
I know how exciting! This washer/dryer in-one got great reviews so I’m ordering it today. In the meantime before it ships I have to put down new tile and paint.
If you think ordering is exciting just wait till the paint starts to dry.

Re: New Washer and Dryer
It spins really fast and the centrifugal force makes it almost dry. This runs on 110 and that makes it even harder it would seem. According to the reviews it does a fantastic job and the trade off is time. A full wash and dry cycle can take three hours.
These are common in Europe and popular with RVers.

I can see the space saver advantage. My front loader does a great job with the spin cycle. Built a 20 inch riser to put it on so I don't have to bend over to use it. About blew a gasket lifting the washer on it.

Re: New Washer and Dryer
over time we've seen a good number of them in RV's .... their biggest plus is saving space .... folks who are able to hang their laundry to dry can greatly increase the number of loads that can be done in day

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: New Washer and Dryer
It doesn’t get very hot. Most work by running room temperature moist air from the dryer through a condenser where the water collect and is then drained out.Shakey Jake wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 12:27 pmBeing ventless caught my eye. How does that work?
Jake
Think frostless refrigerator.

Re: New Washer and Dryer
I ordered a 4.5 cubic foot 2-in-1 washer dryer today. It should be here by the middle of February. I hauled the old set to the garage and when they deliver the new one they will haul the old away. The old set is 33 years old and has never needed repair. Of course only half the cycles work but it still washes clothes.

In the meantime I’m laying tile and painting in the laundry room.
The new dryer part of it is ventless so the hole isn’t needed. I’m cheap and repaired the hole by covering it with two license plates.
