We've had the same Bosch for over 14 years, quiet, cleans everything we put in it

My appliance man says LG or Kitchen Aid. Because you can get parts for them and work on them. As far as Samsung goes I will never buy another Samcrap Appliance. I have one of there French Door Fridges and it has been nothing but a PITA. My neighbor has one has issues with his. From what I understand Samsung is about to go to court with a lawsuit over the Fridges. I realize you want a dishwasher. Samsung should stick to phones and TV's. Just my .02 worth
Agreed. We have a Samsung French Door w/lower freezer and it HAS had its problems. Those water filters are ridiculously priced as well.

Glad that headache is behind you! Never fun, although, anything new brings a bit of a fun factor.

the instructions say you don't have to rinse the dishes prior to putting them into the dish washer .... how often do you clean the filter in the bottom of the washer ?

We only rinse the very heavy leavings on the plates if their going to stand for a day or two, as for the filter, about every 6 months and about once a month I'll throw a tablespoon or two of Lemon shine in it
