Hello everybody. Newbie here. Anyone experience light strikes on this rifle. It was only one out of fifty. Ammo was Federal American eagle. Other than that the rifle is the best shouldering rifle I’ve ever fired. Just hope I don’t have to send it back. Thanks

As far as that light strike on one round out of fifty, it's probably just an anomaly. But, I'd be curious to know if the primer in that cartridge was seated deeper than in the others and if the others had firing indents that were "normal".

I'm sure you'll hear from others, as well. Keep us posted.

first, welcome to our forum .... happy to have you join us .... do hope you will read and post often .... with 1 out of 50, I wouldn't worry about it but would most certainly keep an eye on it .... could you see the light strike .. .. did you rechamber it and if so, did it fire .. .. be sure to follow the link below and add your Henry to our community's total

Thank you to everybody for the welcome. The first thing I thought when I got my rifle home is when I’m going to get my next one! I have the round that didn’t fire but did not try to re-fire it. It showed a very light strike. We were packing up because of a storm so I didn’t retrieve my brass, big mistake. I removed and cleaned the bolt (didn’t remove firing pin.) I’ll fire it again with different types of ammo and check the brass. If they show light strikes what do you think the problem is? Thanks everybody.

Also it doesn’t appear that the firing pin seats back far enough when in battery. Is it suppose to move freely at this time?
