I was wondering about a trapper in 30-30

I really love the way the the H012R feels and handles. I was wondering if they would make one just like the H012R with the large lever but in 30-30. The only thing I could better if it had skinner sights on it. I would be one of the first to buy it.

dad,
The large lever is available from Henry. The sight is available from Skinner. Your wish is at your command.

I didn't see one in the 16.5 inch barrel? What model is it? I couldn't find one listed

Call Henry CS. They'll advise you. It's likely a modification, not a stock offering.

I don't think that Henry will do one of a kind models or modification at least none that I heard of.

From the Henry website, I could only find two models of the .30-30 being offered: the H009AW and the H009. Both have round 20" barrels. I had the H009 a couple of years ago, but that was the model that had the problem with the lever popping open when loading. I returned mine and went to a .357 steel Big Boy, with Henry's great CS support on the deal! Eventually Henry fixed the problems with the H009 model.
No matter if you are able to get a 20" or a 16.5" barrel, I'd suggest you look closely at that new
H009AW model in the .30-30 rifle. The all-weather features built into this rifle look to be very nice....plus the rifle plain 'ole looks great! And CT's suggestion is a good one, to call Henry and see what they can do for you.
For right now, have a great time looking for your .30-30. Shopping for Henrys is always fun!
