Letters in front of serial numbers.
Is there a list or an easy way to figure out what the letters stand for that are in front of the serial numbers on your Henry Center-Fire Rifles?

I believe they designate the model. If you go to the Henry website and chech out the model number you can confirm this. Let us know as no one else has asked the question that I know of.

.
My Henry .30-30 s/n starts with TTBO. I'd guess the TT is for Thirty-Thirty, B-Brass Receiver, O-Octagon barrel.
My Long Ranger s/n starts with 223LRS which is the caliber of the rifle followed by model LRS-'Long Ranger Sighted'.

Re: Letters in front of serial numbers.
I believe my .22LR Small Game Carbine (H001TLP) went through some configuration and model number changes along this trail:
H001 base (Classic) model lever action .22LR with a round barrel --->
H001T new name/model of Lever Action Octagon Frontier .22LR with octagon barrel --->
H001TLP .22LR Small Game Carbine name/model created with the shorter 16.5" barrel, Large loop lever, Skinner Peep sight.
When the T was added to the Classic model and named Frontier, the trail at that point was really dusty. Can't figure what the T meant. I'm guessing though that I took the correct fork to get to the SGC.
Henry knows, but I never asked. Simply called mine SGC, which is it's most popular handle to-date.
BTW, if anyone knows whether or not my guess is accurate, I'd be glad to hear about it.

Mags, my case color 30-30 starts with WTTCC. The TTCC is easy enough to figure out, now just to figure out what the W stands for.

Weaver type scope mount would be my guess.

I’ve checked my five of my rimfire and the serial numbers reflect the model number.PT7 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 2:57 pmI believe my .22LR Small Game Carbine (H001TLP) went through some configuration and model number changes along this trail:

Any thoughts on the SGC? Do you have one of them, Gene? Can anyone solve this puzzle, or have I created one simply with missing pieces
