With the addition of my .357 BB CCH something had to give to make for a hanging spot.
So my .44 Carbine had to move to the other wall on a new walnut rifle hanger.

Now the CCH lever rifles hang together even though the 1885 High Wall 45-70 retains it's top spot.
Still think the Henry CCH is much better that the Uberti stuff since I believe the Uberti still uses the acid dip.

Im waitin to see that CCH hangin on the shootin sign at the Fortyshooter shootin range

Nice way to display them on the plank. Did you come up with that or is that a commercial product? It really highlights the look and character of the rifles. Very nice!!

Well I came up with it. My Dad had a good stash of walnut boards from a large tree that fell on my uncle's farm back in 1975.
He used to make tables and such out of it and there was some leftover that I stored away after his passing in 1995.

There were some unique looking rough sawn planks that I thought would make great rifle hangers.
The one holding the Uberti High Wall 45-70 reminds me of the mountain ranges/hill out West.

Those are beautiful. I wish I lived in a place where I did not have to lock everything in a safe..... Brass guns would really sparkle up there.

Very nice way to show your fine rifles

Can you post a close up of the receiver of your BB CCH .257, unless I missed it in another post? That way we can see the variations in the case hardening.

Well the whole room is locked up tighter than a tick...solid door with extra long dead lock bolt going inside a steel tube along with
a two good alarm systems...one I feed and the other I don't!

Yes the colors and wavy pattern look fantastic on this one. Going to have to careful not to pick up any scratches from use!

Henry absolutely went the extra mile to get those receivers done right!

Some track lighting on the ceiling shining down on them would really be nice looking. Fantastic display. Like the 'high value' gun room at Cabelas!!

Oh and that little bitty rifle actually fires caps!

That case hardening finish is growing on me, I have to say Forty, yours have the nicest character I've seen.
Is Henry the only mfgr that does that?

Well the word is that Henry sends those out to one of the better shops that specialize in CCH. They do it the right way with heat.
Think there is mention of that in a thread here somewhere. Usually you would find this kind of detail in a custom shop type gun or a limited
run like Ruger did recently with the Blackhawk revolvers. But with Henry doing this with a regular production offering and keeping it within
affordable pricing is really fantastic.
I have several Uberti built guns and while they look good it's not as good as the Henry and not done the same way.

I just showed your pictures to wifey, she thought the receiver is very classy....hehehe, the seed has been planted!
