Had some 1/2 SharkBite tube in the shop which measures .625 on O.D. and went to work. Cut length to 16 5/8 inch for 10 rounds
Machined one end back about 1/2 inch to a .560 diameter so it would slip into mag tube. Used a plastic 1/2 inch plug to plug one end and pinned it in place.
Then drill hole near feed end of tube for 1/2 inch Hitch Pin Clip. Add a small chain or whatever handy and secure to tube in a slightly machined groove, a small cable tie that secures chain. Cable tie won't slide up and down being secured in groove.

Forty you should offer some of those for sale in the classifieds. You might sell a few. Its a great idea I think

Looks great Forty! Might follow your instructions as best I can and attempt to make one.
What method did you use to machine the 1/2 inch area and the groove?

Well that was a lathe job. Going to the range today to try the speed loaders out and also my rear sight mod.

I'm out of the 40 180 gr. rounds I loaded up....had too much fun with them! But have some 158's and others to try.
Need to get more .357 Mag brass since I never had more than 100 rounds of those.

If you have a coarse wheel bench grinder you could make one with a crudely cut down end. Won't look as nicely cut down as the lathe cut.

Don't even have one of those. If I could find a way to keep the tube ridgid enough while doing so, I might be able to use my drill press...maybe. ;)

No sweat... I could make up just the tubes and let you finish them off the way you want as far as plugging the end and adding your pin and tether.
Let me know.

The loader tubes worked fine this afternoon while I was dialing in the rear sight. I opened up the rear sight notch to .110 and it's more of a radius cut rather than a V notch. With a little more area around the bead when you sight in target it is easier for me to get on target.
You might sacrifice a bit of pin point accuracy but I can hit my actual targets quicker.
I'm never all that good on paper but I can hit my steel!

Sorry no pictures today!

I was chipping away on several of those little pumpkins with the 125 gr. XTP loads with 9 gr. of Unique after I used up my MB 158 gr. bullets I had loaded. The pumpkins didn't explode like they did with those 2000 FPS 180 gr. 44 Mag loads!
