Henry Rifle Forums

I have a local friend here who wants a BBS, but can't afford new. He'd like a pistol caliber carbine, but will consider others. I've looked in the forum classifieds, but nothing there. Anybody have any leads and/or ballpark prices for used ones in good condition?

That might be a tough one to find. I'll bet there are not many people out there who own one, who want to give it up.

Mark it right, used Henrys, in good shape, in desirable calibers, seem few and far between. GunBroker is as good a place to start as any, as I'd think that looking locally (no matter where you are) would be a hit-and-miss proposition.

All that said, Economics 101 comes back to, and Supply vs. Demand tends to keep prices high in this scenario. Don't know how much he'd save vs. new unless he stumbles across a very rare deal...

I have seen only a couple used centerfire Henrys local for sale in the last several years.
Several .22s however.

Did some googling on a few gun sites. Rare as hens teeth, except for .22's and most of those were tribute or other specials. Anyway if y'all happen to run across one, I'd appreciate a heads up. I'll keep an eye on the forum classifieds for a while just in case.

Gene, you won't find any Henry BBS' for sale in our classified forum. Guns and ammo aren't permitted for sale here. Good luck with your search, though. I hope your friend finds one that he can afford. Keep us posted.

I didn't know that, thanks. Most other gun forums classifieds allow members to advertise guns, etc. although the parties must deal privately via email or other means.

Most other gun forums classifieds allow members to advertise guns, etc.

I am a member of a very large PNW based gun forum that has a very active gun classified section.
If I see anything come up I'll let you know.

I saw a BBB at Turner's Outdoorsman, used but in excellent shape. It was in .45 Colt for $600.00.

BBB .357 here in my local area for $575.

As always...better to be lucky than good. Years ago, before the sale ban a member sold me his barely used bbs357. It was exactly what I wanted. And? $500. Awesome!

Thanks y'all. What got my buddy interested in Henry rifles was when I let him try out my .41mag carbine last spring. But I have yet to see a used one on any web site. Lot's of used .357 & .44, but no .41's that I could find.

Seems that those who have a .41 are determined to keep it. I know I am, at least till I'm dead, and maybe longer.

I have a 41 also, it ain't going anywhere until I do.
