Pardon my ignorance but what is the purpose of the orange attachment underneath the forearm?

I'd have to put my horse in black leather and sunglasses.

The words “tactical” and “lever” should NEVER be uttered in the same sentence.

I have to agree with all of those who disagree with your approach.

And because you asked what we think.

Man, that's ugly.

Wow, that's two ugly guns in one thread.

Just had to remove the image. Don't what to repeat that too many times.

I just saw that exact picture on another site. Some posters actually liked it. Not my style. I like 'em the way they come from Henry.

Just makes that "tool" more utilitarian.

No wood warping, scratching, cracking, splitting!
Adjustable rear stock length.
Adjustable cheek weld for irons, scope or dot (have to allow for top eject in that make/model).
Can have beemz (white, laser, IR).
Threaded for whatever. :D

Well then I guess I just prefer non-utilitarian.

I make it a policy never to judge anyone else's tastes in guns, lest someone judge mine.

From a functional standpoint, I do like the red dot and I can see where the light on the rail would be useful for some applications. If setting the gun up that way makes it more functional for you, Maht_g, go for it.

For what though? The rifle has a light. What could you hang from such an unusually shaped attachment? It doesn’t look like a vertical grip could go on it.
