I placed an order today for a big boy steel carbine 357, and a small game carbine 22 mag. I was going to get the evil Roy but the silver receiver is too much bling for me, but everything else about it I love. I ordered from Classic firearms and this is my 2nd order with them this year. I placed my order at 1:30 pm and I had tracking numbers at 4:00 pm. Excellent customer service and shipping in my opinion. Hopefully I will have them soon. I already ordered a picatinny rail and hammer extension for both.

Hurry up and wait...

I love my BBS carbine in .44, just can't find enough time to get out and shoot as often as I would like. Hope you enjoy them!

That 357 carbine is going to light you up! Have fun with both. I have a hunch the 22mag will come in a close second.

I'm a fan of the shorter length barrels, that's why I went with the carbine in both models. What I don't like is the octagon barrel on the SGC, but I'm sure it will be fine. I'm a big fan of 22 mag, always have been. I have a question on the BBSC, how is the recoil pad fastened to the butt stock? Screws or glued on? I have a Vortex venom micro red dot I'm going to try on the BBSC, it works very well for me.

Underdog -- What is it about the SGC's octagon barrel that you don't like? I've found my SGC to be excellently balanced with that slightly heavier barrel. Plus I do like the way it looks. Glad I have that in my Carbine's configuration.

I'll be interested to hear your impression after you shoot yours.

To be honest I've never owned an octagon barrel, so my judgement is just going by looks. But the more I look at them the more they are looking different in a good way. I learned a long time ago never judge anything or anyone by their looks. I'm sure once I open the box and hold the rifle up and shoulder it, everything will fall into place. Hey you'll never like stuff until you give it a try, right? And the SGC has a lot going for it, it pretty much checks all the boxes for me.

The pad on our BBS 44Mag Carbine is screwed on.

It would be interesting to know which barrel chambered in .357 is more accurate, the 16" round barrel or 20" octagon barrel.

At longer distances, I'd expect the 20" to be more accurate. Bullet is in the barrel longer and gets more spin from the rifling.

I purchased a 357 BBS Carbine a month or so ago. Although I only have a couple of hundred rounds through it, I am extremely pleased with the fit, function and accuracy of this little guy. CP.

In theory, that's why I chose the 20".

Actually when I bought my 41BBS I would have chosen the carbine over the rifle, but the first year they only made the rifle. Said they weren't going to make it in the carbine.
Guess they didn't know how many people wanted a 41.
I did change out the loop, but as far as accuracy once you find that right ammo combo, well she speaks for herself.
The whole in the red is from the 44BBB, and not a part of the group.
She won't be going anywhere anytime soon, but
I still like those carbines though.
