I would like to a 45 Colt mares leg like that. I would put a full size stock on it and that would be a sweet home defense gun...

Makes the 45 LC Carbine in CCH look mighty tempting! What do you guys think: CCH or Brass?

My "collecting philosophy," such as it is, is "Broad and Shallow."

Different finishes, different calibers, different barrel lengths.

That has led me to the brass, carbine 45 LC. But, man, I've turned into a sucker for that CCH!

Yessir, I do have the CCH 30-30. And, Yessir, you are correct.

Brass it will be. Some day.

Its all Evans fault. But to tell you the truth since they came out I have been wanting a CCH carbine. Just won this on GB and its coming to my house soon. I could not pass up the CCH on this gun. I should add its a 357 and I had a nice conversation with the guy I bought it from. I also told him to come aboard this forum as he is a Henry lover also. He has signed up

Beautiful rifle and happy to take credit for the enablement! It's true, 357s are hard to beat, and CCH can be a bad addiction, too! Can't wait to hear how you like it, to seeing more pics and to hearing a range report or two.

Wonder if DavidLewis has a 45LC Brass Carbine?

If you live in the USA, that would be illegal. Turns it into a short-barreled rifle, which is a no-no. The mare's leg is technically a pistol.

Congrats on that beauty, Al - doesn't get much better than a Henry CCH BigBoy in 357Mag - (except maybe a CCH 45-70....)
