Figured I'd post a pic of the new Carbine. Here it is on the weapons display (along with some of my other favorite things) I made quite a few years ago.

Nice collection! Do you shoot them much?

Beautiful wood display rack you have there, Gunny. Appreciate seeing your collection; and noticed the Henry has "center stage."

Except for the antique Penn long rifle (needs some work) and my Fathers flare gun, all my firearms get a little exercise. The Ruger gets much more than the repro BP guns tho.

Can you tell us about the metals you are showing there? I noticed that they are also hanging on your wood wall rack.

The small brass looking ones are NRA badges from when I was about 14 or so. Sharpshooter and Pro-Marksman, .22 match rifle. The shiny ones are USMC Rifle and Pistol Expert badges; 20 years worth of annual requal on the KD ranges with rifles - M-1, M-14, & M-16; and 1911A1 Pistol for 14 years.

Welcome from the TV Oregon. Very nice .41 there. Complements the other firearms in your display quite beautifully. Good to see the Henry center stage. Have you taken it out to shoot yet? Would love to hear how that went along with seeing target picture results.

Thanks. First 5 shots at 25yds this past Sat. Right out of the box, no cleaning or anything prior. Offhand no artificial support. Wanted to see what was what. Excellent trigger. Action smooth and positive, no mechanical or other issues. Very pleasant recoil, felt like I could shoot it all day without a problem. The one flier was me, not the gun.

I was planning on getting on the 50yd target this morning from my bench, but it got too hot, too fast for my old bones. MS in the summer .

1" squares on the paper.

Another 41 fan here.
I have a rifle, but wanted the carbine, but
they said they ween't going to it in one.
I got one of the first 41's made, I wanted one bad.

And I don't think Henry realized how many folks out here that wanted a 41 mag rifle.

Just noticed the recent replies on this thread, so thanks for the compliments y'all. About the display: I'm something of a reasonably ok woodworker, and have a variety of trees on my property. Occasionally, I'll cut one down and slab and dry it for future use. This display came from a Eastern Red Cedar (aka Aromatic Cedar). One of dozens that grow wild in my woods. The drawer shelf is from a downed Persimmon that was mostly rotted, but managed to salvage a few bf. It's hung on a french cleat that's lag screwed into the wall framing to hold the weight and get a flush mount to the wall. I do change out the display itself from time to time with other firearms as the mood strikes me. The swords and other stuff stays, since they were inherited from family or have some personal value to me.

Nice lay out of the display and a good job on the woodwork. Is that a Walker Colt replica that I see?
