Very nice! That rifle is next on my wish list. Did you have to change the front sight to work with the Skinner peep sight?

Great Henry to have next on your wish list. You'll be joining quite a few other .357 owners on the Forum, Deano.
No, I didn't have to re-work the front bead sight at all. However, my Express aperture stem is turned down fairly low for elevation. Feels like I can turn it further, but don't think I have another 180* turn left, so it's close. Glad it's putting my POIs on target.
Skinner posts this comment under their Skinner Express info for the H006 or H012 Big Boy models: "Customers report about 50% success using the factory front sight." I was fortunate to end up in the group ready to shoot!

Beautiful rife! So how accurate are you finding the .357 to be with the Skinner? I just shot my SGC for the first time today (at actual targets), and I’m super impressed! I have a feeling a CCH .357 Carbine is in my near future. The only thing I hate is the dovetail fillers. I wish they would offer a CCH “BGC” or Big Game Carbine. I’d order one tomorrow!

My BBS .357 Carbine is very accurate with the Skinner Express. Every Henry I've owned has had a Skinner on it....for me, it's the best iron sight for my rifles and my elder eyes. And I'm not surprised to hear you are "super impressed" with your SGC. Every time I shoot mine, being impressed also happens to me.
The Henry .22LR is a highly-accurate Carbine, too!
The dovetail filler is just a minor appearance "glitch." I'm certain you'd be pleased with a .357 BB Carbine in spite of the filler. Once you start sending some .357 Magnums downrange, you won't even notice it's on the barrel!!

Is the dovetail filler not flush with the top of the barrel?

I love mine, took it to the range yesterday. I was lousy shooting my .357 Model 66. But the Henry. Smooth as butter.
I will say this. Don't use Hornady Leverevolotion ammo. The tube cylinder catches slightly. Better do do what Henry recommends. Just use 158 grain 357 mag bullets.
