Picatinny for HO12AW?

Hey guys. First post. My other half got me a BB H012AW in 44 a few days ago. Had a question about getting some picatinny on the reciever. I do a lot of hog hunting at our club and very regularly use thermal. Need some picatinny to use it with good RTZ, tho. An integrated aperture sight rearward (ala Williams Ace in the Hole) would be great if it was available. But a straight rail with a Fastfire prolly wouldn't be too big of a sin on it and the REAP will mount over that no problem. Kinda curious what y'all may have found that works for such gadgets.

He said he'd had a friend modify it for him. If I still had my old Rockwell Knee Mill it'd be a done deal with something! But it's long gone and I'm stuck inna garage with a hammer and chisel anymore. So off to Amazon and the interwebs we go.
Talked to the cat at EGW today and they didn't have anything. Got regular clueless CS at Midway and Williams. Read somewhere that some Marlin rails would work, but can't confirm. Holes are 2.4" and 2.9" apart. With the back 2 having the .5" between. Top is non-radiused best I can tell.
Whuzzup with the Skinner's and the dovetail. Beautiful sights, but dovetails on a growed up rifle?!? Or mebbe I'm being ignorant again.

Thanks, bo. But it's gotta be picatinny for my RTZ on this thing. Been swappin it out on the SCAR for well over a year with no adjustments.

The Marlin rails will work but you have to elongate one of the holes. I did it with a small round file. I went with my latest setup because I wanted the lowest rail possible so I could maintain a cheek weld. It could be done with hand tools, but it would take a lot of elbow grease.

No problem, I enjoy talking about it. The Marlin rail I was using was counter bored. I didn't have to take much off. Not more than an 1/8 of an inch if I remember right.

Looks close. Seems to have stanchions that may interfere with the use of factory sights.
But there's the dot option, still. Will call them tomorrow. **Hat tip**

I have an Ace in the Hole on my Marlin 1895g. I'm confident you could get where you need to be with nothing more than a round file. I used a small washer under the screw head after I filed the hole out on the other base I was using. It was a cheap one from Walmart for a 336.

My issue with that rail is the height. I'm obsessed with getting my lever gun sights as close to the bore as possible.

I had looked at those as well. The idea seems sound in theory. Not sure how much sight picture would be lost to lookin thru a rail for your rear sight. I'm fairly sure it is a Henry of some sort. Not sure which. Can't say I've studied up much on'em till recently. The front sight on the one pictured is of the ramp variety. Mine's straight dovetail. But easily enough remedied and prolly gonna hasta rassle that same issue with about anything that includes rear sights.
Concerning sight-to-bore height that's another issue with some mounting options. On the SCAR it's built in and has shown to be annoying when out foraging and somethin shows up under my feet. I'll almost invariably shoot low that first shot just before a solid round of cursing myself for so much OHS. But no sense building it in if I can avoid it.
JEBar- I can't tell exactly from the pic, but it looks like the same profile, with yours lookin more Weaver-ish than picatinny.

I'm a big fan of peep sights for shooting like that. They just seem to be simple and effective. I can see how a low slung rmr would be an awesome setup too.

Will do. I'm sure it's gonna look funny and the nostalgics would have me hung, drawn & quartered for it.
But Porky and Petunia absolutely HATE it.

ETA- Got A Williams Ace in the Hole sight and rail combo en route. Called Williams yesterday and the tech sez it'll fit. Part# 70975 We'll see.
