Ok, so after adding my youngest son to the Henry family, I got Jonesing for a new one myself. I have always wanted a .45-70 as I often take fishing trips way up north where the big guy natives roam. I had originally planned to grab the brass version when it came out but glad that I hesitated because this wild life model is to die for! Or should I say, survive for? Lol anyway, just wanted to share with my fellow Henry family.

That rifle sir is defective (just read the Henry quality control thread for proof). It must be destroyed at once. Please PM me for instructions on where to send the rifle, at your cost of course, for destruction. I will take care of the offending junk, malfunctioning, and certainly dangerous firearm for the good of mankind.

Very nice. Such a purdy rifle! I had pretty much decided on the brass wildlife edition 45/70 when I found my normal brass 45/70 for such a deal I couldn't pass it up.

Nice! Looks very pretty. I would probably be concern with scratching it. It would probably only come out on nice days to play. Yet, we would probably play the whole day. Then again, I don't know. I understand they have a kick. But, I don't have one to have first hand knowledge of. However, it still looks nice!

Just think RR if you had one of them you could shoot a griz or two and get some nice blankets to keep you warm. Maybe one for badger to.

Ah yes, 45-70, 45C, they make nice big holes. Beautiful. Waiting for some warmer weather to get out and punch some big holes!

I just can’t get over how perfect this rifle is. Massive stopping power, and unmatched beauty! Was hoping to get a few rounds off this weekend, but it rained the entire time. Bang therapy will have to wait just a bit longer.

Fit and finish looks pretty darn good. Good size torpedoes ya got there too.

I have no doubt that you are looking forward to getting out with your 45-70 and a bunch of us are looking forward to hearing your range and use reports .... will you be loading your own ammo..

For now I am using the Hornady LEVERevolution, but at $2.00 a squeeze, I will probably do some reloads for plinking lol I will do a video of my first shoot straight from the box with zero modifications. My first impressions are very favorable. This rifle just fits me well! Feels great, looks even better! Henry sure hit a home run with this one! The lever is smooth. The furniture is tight, and beautiful as well! Really can’t wait to get kicked by this mule lol

be advised, to make their LEVERevolution ammo they have to use shell casings that are shorter than standard length .... consequently, to be reloaded you should only use Hornady's LEVERevolution bullets .... if that is the way you want to go, that's fine .... as you note they are expensive (as are most 45-70 full power loads) .... for that reason we go with standard cases so that we can use any standard bullets .... if you read through several threads you will see favorable reports on Nosler's 300 gr Ballistic Silvertips .... if you are interested, at this link == http://www.shootersproshop.com/nosler-p ... -50ct.html == you can find a source that sells BLEMS at a very favorable price .... the problem with them is cosmetic and has no influence on performance .... I'm looking forward to your range reports and continued comments as you are able to get up close and personal with your Henry ..
