Oh boy just got my catalog & right there in front are the Henry Original rifles chambered for the .44WCF. Wow are they beautiful. I'd have to sell several somethings to get one though?????

I hear organs are going for big money. You just have to survive living without a part to enjoy the money.

I'd like to have one but instead of 44-40,
I'd rather have it in 45 colt.
I know Uberti makes one chambered in 45, but
I like to buy American made, when possible.

Minor technicality.

He thanks everyone that is a beautiful rifle & to have one legally marked Henry rather than Uberti would be fantastic.
Uberti makes fine firearms, but one marked Henry after soooooo many years would be special.

My next Henry will be an Original. I'm not sure when it will happen, but that's what I've decided.

I've held one of the brass engraved ones and an Iron frame at a gun show. The only problem I saw with it was keeping it clean of drool stains!
The 44/40 has made a comeback with the cowboy action folks. I think Henry was trying to keep it as close to an original period cartridge as possible. it's been a while since anyone made copper 44 rimfires!
Dave I'm glad you decided to go that way. I can't way to see the pics. Saves me from getting one. I can live vicariously through you.
