Hi there,
Dies anyone know of a picattiny rail where the screws are in the right place for the .357 BBB. Only asking as here in the UK i have called every shop that has the odd Henry on the wall looking for the scope mount, none to be had.
I mIled Henry in the US who just referred me to the same dealers who had none available. Its a real shame, in the US it is obvious that Henry gives great service but here its not so great. Therefore I am trying to find a solution using some other means.

Can I just say one thing

Does anything look more "UnWestern" than a picattiny rail?

I'm sure it's no coincidence that these didn't come out until after John Wayne was dead.

I know several of you guys have them on your Henrys, and they are the epitome of functionality, but on a classic bolt or lever action they just look

Best of all to those that use them and sometimes you got to do what you got to do...............

can't disagree with your looks assessment and if looks was my prime motivator, I'd probably go a different route .... maximizing the rifle's ability to deliver a bullet to where I want it to go most certainly my prime motivator .... that's why we have them on all three of our Henry rifles

I guess what we are both getting at JEBar is we want the scope in a certain position.
We want it so high and so far back.

Unless I'm using different (inter-changing) sights, or maybe i need so much offset that it just isn't possible to achieve with the rings/bases available, I like everything minimalistic .

I'm sure you have already posted, so if you could just steer me to a pic of your Henrys I'll check it out.

last 2 pictures Browning BLR 308 .... the scope was installed decades before Picatinny Rails came on the scene

The idea for me was to attach a scope to work up some loads so I can make an accurate ish judgement. Once I am getting decent groups I will then remove scope knowing anything else is just down to me and old eyes and use the irons. I would love to have a peep sight for the big boy, but We dont have the options that you guys have as most importers are just not interested in bringing the stuff in and the US companies I have contacted directly either quote silly money postage or say no. For a cheap peep sight for example I was quoted $75 post which is crazy, more than the sight cost.
I cant get the correct base here so a piece of rail seemed the best option,
