I have a BBS on .45 Colt that's grouping 3 inches ro the left at 25 yards. The front sight appears centered and the rear sight set to mechanical zero. I've tried it with a Skinner Express sight and a williams FP 336 with the same result for each. I checked the bore for straightness using the vertical reflectipn method and there seems to be some curvature there.
3 inches at 25 yards translates to a foot at a hundred. Anyone here have a similar issue? I have an email to Henry & hpoefully they can resolve it.

After installing the Skinner receiver peep, I had to adjust the front sight of my BBB .357. It doesn't take much movement to correct it. For the front sight, "follow the bullet". If it's hitting to the left of center, drift the front sight to the left, toward the hit. A little goes a long way.

I'd have to move it an eighth of an inch or more off center to correct it. I have other guns with receiver sights and didn't have to go more than 4 or 5 clicks to center the group at 25 yards. The way this one is it would take 55 or so clicks.

I can't help you with adjusting a peep sight but it appears you are already getting some good info .... please consider taking a look at our How Many ? thread (link below) and add your Henry rifles to our community total

Henry is going to send me a shipping label so they can check it out.

Out of the box, my Henry BBS 357 Was shooting about 3" right and maybe 4" low. I raised the sights and then drifted the rear sights to the left. Thought the rifle would've been more accurate or of the box? Maybe it's the ammo, which is PMC 158 grain. Zero'd it at 25 yds after about nine rounds.

The gun's been at the Rice Lake factory for a couple of days.....no word yet.

Does it seem that the barrel problems seem to be concentrated mainly with the BBS models? I don't recall many complaints about the barrels on the Brass models.

I got a UPS notification that it will be delivered June 1. I hope they really fixed it & didn't just bang the sights back & forth.

I dunno.....could be the receiver was drilled off square.

My .45 Colt BBS came back today. The enclosed letter says that the barrel and magazine tube were replaced.
I took it out in the yard and put 15 rounds throught it with the Skinner Express sight on it. It still shoots to the left but only 3/4" compared to 3" with the original barrel. The front sight isn't dead nuts centered......my thumbnail will catch on the bottom where it over hangs the barrel on the right side but it won't catch on the other. I'll tweek that tomorrow & the windage adjustment on the rear will get the rest.
The groups seem tighter than the original barrel so I'm a satisfied customer and an overall happy camper.

My BBS 41 mag shot 10 inches right and 6 inches high at 50 yds out of the box. Had to drift the rear sight quite a bit to center it but the elevation is already set at the lowest position, so only way to correct that would be to put a taller front sight on it. Accuracy has also been erratic with first and/or last round from the magazine going as much as 10 inches high or low at 50 yards. This was with hard cast bullets. Going to try jacketed to see it that makes a difference, but I have a feeling this one will be going back to Henry.

I'm a little disappointed to hear how many Henrys seem to have problems. I was under the impression that Henry produced a high quality rifle, but it seems their QC is a bit sloppy. In comparison, my 1873 Miroku Winchester was flawless out of the box and extremely accurate. The Japanese make a fine rifle. Henry should take notice.
