Has anyone seen or handled a Henry Long Ranger .308? Is the gear action original to Henry or a copy of the Browning BLR?

I was told last week by our gun dealer that they aren't on the market yet .... pure guess, I'd be very surprised it Henry copies BLR's rotary bolt

that pretty much coincides with what we were told by the dealer we buy from .... my bet is they will have such a demand that it will take them a while to become readily available

I bet they will be in short supply till after hunting season.

Cabelas is taking backorders for the Long Ranger online for delivery to a local store, estimating 2-4 weeks for delivery. Price is $950.

This is apparently a new customer service for firearms. Order it online, pick it up at the store.
