Saw a Henry .45-70 yesterday
I was in Wal-Mart yesterday & stopped by the sporting goods. They had a Henry yellow receiver large loop .45-70. The fit & finish was very good really good. The wood was kind of plain, but very straight grained so it'd be strong. I was really impressed with the quality of the rifle. They had a lock on it so I couldn't work the action & wasn't going to buy it anyway so didn't ask him the take the lock off. I have been thinking lately about selling a couple of somethings to get a Henry .45-70. I've looked at several Henry .45-70s in this past year & am always very pleased with the quality of the rifles.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I have the steel version .45-70 with the round barrel. It was an earlier model and had to have the mag tube upgrade. Not as pretty as the ones you all have but it is a pound lighter and I am very happy with it. They are great rifles!

Thumbs up for my steel 45-70, non-ghost sights version.
I find it easier and lighter to carry it around during hunting season.
