Henry For Henry Trade

Last Monday I stopped at to my favorite LGS. Sure enough they had it on the wall. I'm convinced it spoke to me saying, "come over here, I'm finally in stock, check me out". You bet I did. What was it, a brand new (Oct 2024) Henry BB X in 357/38. I've been waiting for them to get this X model in stock so I was glad to see it. We previously talked about a 'trade'.
On Tuesday I went back and traded in my Henry All Weather in 357/38 for Mr. X.
Why? Several reasons actually.
Because my All Weather was a 2016 model so that was well before Henry came out with a side gate. I always wanted to add a suppressor but without the side gate, reloading would be a hassle having to remove a hot can every time.
Mr. X gave me the side gate, the threaded barrel (still not available on the All Weather models), the fiber optic sites and the synthetic factory 'tactical' furniture with the pic rail and M-Lock. Win, win, win and another win in my book.
I was told distributor pricing between the two models is about +$125 for the All Weather. We traded Henry for Henry plus I also got 100 rounds of new Remington JSP 357Magnum rounds. No money was involved. For me, it was my dream scenario. Sometime next year I'll get a suppressor and maybe a few other items. I'm not sure about if or the type of optic yet.
I could have gotten the All Weather barrel threaded, but again, without the side gate, it would have been pointless IMHO.
I removed the Henry stainless Large Loop and reinstalled the smallish stainless factory loop prior to the trade. If anyone wants the Henry large stainless loop just let me know. $50 via PayPal F&F.
