I was working through some chrono testing using 38spl.
According to the CS lady, this is the older two-piece design. There are no extra firing pins to send. It has to go back for the new one-piece design, which includes a new bolt.
Oh, joy.

Sad they just can't send you a bolt.
Not like it's hard to replace.

I asked about the bolt, firing pin, etc. They want the rifle back. This makes me think there is more to the swap over than the bolt. I was hoping I could just drop in a new pin or bolt and keep going. Tis not to be. They've got a shipping label headed my way.
My dilemma is what to do with my muzzle device. It's rocksett'd on.

I wouldn't think it should be an issue.

Probably want to make sure the headspace is set correctly on the new bolt. Best to let them do it correctly.

Headspace would be my guess as well.

That is likely the reason they want it back.
I wonder if i should talk to them about my 45 colt, It has the same style bolt. Along with not grouping for squat with almost every lead ammo.

That and bolt lockup tuning.
