Want to start by saying I love the trigger on my 357/38 X model but there seems to be more creep on my 30-30. I’d prolly never noticed but it’s awkward going from the 22, 357 then the 3030. I found myself anticipating and pulling shots, just shooting terrible unless I started with that rifle.
Has anyone tried the Ranger Precision sear and spring? It’s $45 so I ordered one to try but I’ll take any advice prior to installing it.
Thanks, keep you powder dry and your six covered.
Site seems to be working OK.
Centerfire trigger
Re: Centerfire trigger
I put the RPP sear in my BBS. It worked the same as the stock one I had put a lot of work into. Unlike the stock Henry sear the mating surface is machined and semi polished. The contact surface of the RPP trigger is SLIGHTLY shorter than the stock sear was on my BBS. When I tested the trigger pull with the RPP sear and the Henry sear that I had spent hours stoning and testing neither had ant creep and the RPP trigger was about 4 ounces heavier.
I also did a lot of work on the hammer contact to flatten out the warp from the mim process that left it with a half-moon shape. I am using the sear I worked on as it is closer to the trigger pulls on my other rifles, I have done trigger work on.
I think you will like it. Let us know how it works for you.

Re: Centerfire trigger
Finally made it to the range and fell in love with this rifle all over. It feels way lighter and less creep with a crisp break.

LtL, I am glad the RPP sear helped to give you a nice trigger. Every RPP product I have bought all seemed a little pricy but were of top quality. I think a good trigger makes a lot of difference in practical accuracy.
