question for those that have a RP lever takedown screw

Post by nipprdog » Sun Dec 31, 2023 3:00 pm

https://rangerpointstore.com/champagne- ... own-screw/

Insalled one of these on my big boy x in 357. The lever had a little bit of play(side to sode) in it with the original screw in place, and tight. but with the RP screw it has a little more play in it. didn't interfere with my range trip the other day, but it is noticeable. any one else notice this? just wondering if I should call RP next week, or just keep it and get used to it.

Thanks for reading.

Mine still have the original screws. All 4 of them have some play in them. Someday I'll go to Ace HW and get some thin curved spring washers to take up the play.

I put the RPP takedown screw in mine, and took it out again a day later, as it is quite sharp, and sits right where my hand is to carry the carbine when hunting. It fit pretty tight, though, not much slop at all.

I bought a different style than the RP style. I did not care for the big bulky knob on the RP's. I have not noticed any difference at all. Really like mine.

I have one in my Marlin and Henry. I do notice a tin it if play, seems to go away with good tightening. It’s not the RPP I don’t think.
