The one little detail that just doesn't seem to fit the great looks of an expen$ive Henry Centerfire rifle is that chunky looking trigger with the casting knockout pin dimples! Yeah being a Tool and Moldmaker I know knockout pin hole dimples when I see them and in my career those things on show surface was a no-no to be corrected.
On my newest Henry the 45 X Model it looks like they tried to polish them out a bit but still there and very interesting the trigger on the "lowly"
Rimfire shooter is a better looking trigger with no such issue like all other triggers from 1800's on up even on a "cheap" Rossi !
If it were a low cost air rifle I could understand but not on a nice real CCH well detailed rifle! Think I will remove the trigger and see if Mattel is cast on the other end!

Just one little thing that Henry can still improve on!

Ya that doesnt look to well done to me either. But there is some other issues I have had with Henry in the last couple years that has not been the norm from the past. Not at home right now but when I get home Im gonna look at the older Henry's I have.

Interesting and I agree forty, I just pulled my 3 out of the safe and took a gander.
The early model H001, no idea of it's age, I bought it used, like new sometime in the early 2000's, does not have any.
Neither does the '07 bbb 44, but my early production 41 mag bbs does have on the right side, very faint but they are there.

I must be in a minority, I hate the trigger dimples too, but I also hate the raw sharp corners. I always dress those down with a fine file, some 600 sandpaper and then cold blue. Am I alone? I have really long fingers and a narrow palm, so the angle of my finger tip is off, folks with normal hands probably don’t feel those sharp edges. But they look bad, regardless.

The same can be said for the lever and hammer.

Maybe I can order a couple triggers and resize them a bit if that cast steel is strong enough.

I checked mine. All of them have the dimples and I don't really care.

All of my Henry’s had the knock out dimples……
They are only two years old…
I did buy a Ranger Point replacement trigger and spring last year to remove the take up and reduce the trigger pull on my .45 Special CCH rifle. Trigger pull is now 3.5 pounds.

I did the same for both of my .30-30s; replaced with the Ranger Point Precision stuff. Works well, and easy to install. Didn't use the reduced power springs, but still got a trigger pull on both of my rifles that breaks between 3 to 3.75 lbs.. I don't know if ANY of these triggers (factory or RPP) have any sorta casting gate dimples, and don't really care if they do. I personally am more in the camp of "function over beauty". I do understand if ya don't like a particular feature, and can fix it to YOUR liking. It's YOUR rifle, after all.........
