Jeff Quinn, of Gunblast.com, posted a video on the Long Ranger on YouTube. Now I REALLY want one. I also saw one in person a coupla weeks ago at Cabela's. They appear to be really nice rifles.

A couple of interesting things from the video: 1. I hadn't been aware that the receiver is aluminum. Seems like a strange choice for a rifle in its price range. 2. Jeff didn't seem thrilled by the trigger on the one Henry sent him. That surprised me. My H009 30-30 has a really good trigger.

Bottom line? I need a Long Ranger.

Aluminum or zamak?

I dunno. He just said aluminum. Which is fine, I guess. AR-15's have aluminum receivers, as do many shotguns. Still seems a little strange, though, for the type/style of rifle.

He seemed pretty awkward with the rifle. Maybe it was his hat getting in the way?!?

Has anyone seen a video of someone shooting from a bi-pod attached to the front sling mount?
