Have some of these MB 325 gr. Slammers that I had loaded for my Ruger Alaskan and wanted to see if the round would cycle and chamber with it's 1.655 COL along with the wide flat nose. First attempt was they would only chamber if you pointed the barrel down and jiggled the rifle but they would eject fine as normal. So then I chucked one in the lathe and gave it a slight chamfer on the edge and result it now cycles like hot butter!
These are loaded with 17 gr. of Alliant 2400 and have to see where that might be in Ruger load level which should be fine for a Henry.
Will see if I have anymore of these left and down load slightly for 1000 FPS out the Henry with suppressor.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Nice! Getting out this afternoon to test the 315 gr Hammers...actual weight thru my pair of Henry 45 carbines. One will be setup for speed check and other is X model with suppressor. Have two loads of 2400 16 and 17 gr.
