My "problem child" BB,again

Post by Bill.68 » Sat Mar 25, 2023 3:44 pm

Once again this aggravating rifle is aggravating me again. Now, for whatever reason its having feeding issues all over the place. The rounds are apparently slipping past whatever is supposed to keep them in the tube until its time for them not to be completely jamming the rifle up. The come out under the lifter so I can neither open nor close the lever all the way.
WHY???

And, the ejector spring has broken. Yay!
Here is a pic of the problem childs bore. Remember this is a replacement barrel but hey, at least its a 1:20 tube right?

Note the "potholes" in the metal, and these are small ones there are many much bigger and longer and also the entire bore has these defects along its length.
Hmmm, I wonder if these could be these cause of the almost non-existant accuracy??

Well, it would be the 4th trip home. You understand my description as the problem child no?

I understand about the problem child thing. I have a BBS that went back to Henry five times and never was resolved. The multiple trips to the range, repacking and taking multiple trips to UPS then hoping it gets fixed and being disappointed again. Cussing didn't help the situation but at times it did make me feel slightly better. I think JEBar still has the best idea of sending it back with a detailed repair list. I would also make Mr. Luce aware of the multiple problems you have been having.

Send those bore pics as well. May be time for a new rifle. Henrys are not cheap. They need to make it right, and I feel like they will.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I understand your frustration, but, snide remarks towards an administrator isn't going to remedy the problem.

I just ordered a BBS 357 carbine. Reading this thread of issues with different Henrys is a bit unsettling.

I personally wouldn't worry about it, or question the purchase. This does not happen often. When it does, history show that Henry makes it right.
