Brass Tacks

Anyone done brass tacks on their big boy? I have a 45 Colt Carbine working ranch gun with honest scuffs, dings and a nice patina on the brass that I have been thinking of maybe doing brass tacks on it for an old West Indian feel.

Welcome to the forum. I have never given brass tacks much thought but remember seeing pics of old levers decked out that way.

Off track a bit here but Billyboy’s tack work is the best I’ve ever seen. I like the simplicity of his pattern, some go way overboard with the tacks which I believe takes away from the atractivness.
