Im like the max lovers. I cant figure out why its being ignored. Its a perfect levergun round. I dont like the rimless case of the legend. I have a contender in a 357 max. Nobody knows the max better than Mike Bellem. He also rechambers the Henry SS to the max. I wish Henry the best but its a shame the max is being ignored.

I wondered why Henry hasn't chambered the .357 Max in a lever. I suppose if they did customer service would be getting complaints from people that tried to cycle standard .357's through the Max rifle? Reaming a standard .357 chamber to .357 Max was the reason I bought a second .357 H015...that and the fact that it had really nice wood. :D Then an internet search for brass caused that idea to go out the window.
The reasoning for a cartridge like the .360 in straightwall areas is understandable and I hope it works for Henry. Some other cartridges that come to mind are .307, .356 and .375 Win or .308 and .338 Marlin or maybe .30 TC :( . Try finding any of them at the local shop. The fact that this .360 has .358" bullets is a plus for handloaders and it would also be a bonus if cases could readily be formed from some other plentiful brass.
From what I've gathered in the last day or so is that it is based off the 30-30....
If that is true, then it's like the 30-35 Shorty, ;) or a 30-35 spl...

From what I've read it's possible to make .350 Legend cases from .223 but more trouble than it's worth. If the .360 is based on .30/30 and it would be a simple matter of sizing, trimming and fireforming that would be great. Unless, somebody got the bright idea of making the case head smaller? Then you'd have to chuck up each case in a lathe and remove .020" or so from each rim? Since Henry already chambers the .30/30 and .38/55 they probably left it as is so they wouldn't have to alter the bolt face? I wonder if Henry will announce this creation at the shot show.

I am looking forward to the BBX in 360 BHMR. If Henry made the 35 REM in BBX, I'd have it and not think twice about the 360, but such is not the case.

I am a huge fan of 35s, love my BBX 357M, used to have a 35 REM I really enjoyed and hunted with it all the time in PA, once I sold it for some stupid reason, I realized shortly after how much I missed it.

I am wondering about how long a wait it will be before there are 360 rifles in the hands of the consumer. It seems people are having trouble finding Henry rifles that are already cataloged. They have also brought out their new semi 9 out. I would think that even though the 9 will be coming off a completely different line it seems like Henry is very backed up with their ability to build what they are making now.

Does anybody have any info on when SAMII will accept the 360 round, are there any other manufacturers getting ready to make guns in the 360 and when will the ammo hit the shelves.

I agree about they can't keep up now.
If the cal. takes off, I wouldn't be surprised if Ruger/Marlin didn't introduce one.

I found the link below that provides some pre-production info on the rifle and the cartridge. After witnessing the knock down capability of the 350 Legend on whitetails, the 360 BHMR has a lot to live up to.

From the Remmington website.
Introduced in 2023 by Remington Ammunition and Henry Rifles, 360 Buckhammer is a brand-new SAAMI accepted cartridge. A straight wall cartridge 360 BHMR is a rimmed round designed for lever-action rifles.
