Wow! Cant believe what a difference my polishing efforts made along with the lighter spring. The BB was actually pleasure to shoot yesterday.
Tried out 18gr of A9 under some 240gr XTPs , a mild magnum load, well, mid-range I guess at about 1200fps and at 75yds couldnt miss that 6"orange dot, so that was pleasant. They were everywhere on the dot but at least they stayed fairly tight for that gun. Ive never fired a nice, tight group with anything through the BB. Thisbjist occured to me.
I then switched to some 429421's in Specials (cant recall the charge or powder) and they were terrible, one actually keyholed. Thats the first time Ive ever experienced that in any firearm, ever.
The cheer myself up a bit I had to haul out my CZ457 just to satisfy my need for some tiny little groups.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
