Ready to rock this thing!

Hot weather be damned I'm ready for the range tomorrow to test some loads I put together. All ammo here loaded for sub sonic suppressor use.
Stay tuned for range report if I make it!

7.5gr Unique. What's the bullet? Seems familiar. Good looking set-up forty.
Likin' the revolver there Randy with a .410 in there to boot! Nice.

As far as load data I have been getting about 180 to 200 fps over pistol loads out of my big boy x 45 colt. I had a heck of a time finding a powder that was available that could keep the rounds at about 975 to 1000 fps.

Let us know how it goes

Got the Xtreme 255 gr. plated bullets in Tuesday and have some loaded with 7.5 Unique and 6 gr. Red Dot. From an earlier test with my other 45 Colt Henry Carbine I was seeing 1050 average with a 250 gr. coated lead Missouri Bullet loaded with 8.2 Unique. The plated 255 Xtreme I hope will be in the 980-1000 FPS zone. Same MB bullet with 6.0 Red Dot was in the 920-940 FPS range.
The 250 XTP and 250 gr. Speer Gold Dot I hope will be 1000 FPS range. Of course trying to keep them below 1100 FPS. I won't be able to have my Magneto Speed unit attached due to interference with the longer front sight base on X model but my ears will let me know!

So hope I can get down there well before Noon to beat some of the heat.
