Anyone here tell me if the factory front sight is taller for suppressor use? My suppressor measures 1.375 O.D. so that would be .687 or 11/16ths from barrel centerline to top of suppressor.
Thanks!

No help here, as I don't own one, but thinking as it comes with the barrel threaded.
Surely they compensated for that.

mine is an inch and a half OD and the top of the front sight peeks over. Looking or aiming through the sight on a rifle is quite a bit easier than a pistol as both eyes are open. I put a romeo 5 on min to start with. I moved over to a sig 1-6 VPO and haven't looked back

Re: Need some X model 45 Colt front sight info....
I have a Sico 46 Hybrid that I put on my 44mag X. The factory installed sights weren't tall enough to clear my can (1.57" diameter)
I don't like the idea of aiming through the can so I replaced my factory sights with a set of Midwest Industry sights that are made for the Henry X.
My sight picture is now free and clear of the can. I am sure that there are people out there who are comfortable aiming through the can but I am not one of those people.
The sights are well made and appear to be over built to make them pretty tough.

After re-reading the OP, the factory sights should be okey dokey for the OP's application. I'm sure I wouldn't have needed different sights if my can was a little smaller in radius like the OP's.
