Received my Northwoods takedown screw!

Hi,

I had slightly marred my stock takedown screw after a few times of on and off and not using the proper screwdriver. Well after posting this a fellow member recommended this larger knurled takedown screw fom Northwoods on Ebay. I like it. No need to use a screwdriver unless you have weak fingers. Good fit, just as secure as the stock one and well constructed. My only criticism is that it could have been 10% smaller and still functioned well.

Overall though, I'm a happy camper!

Looks handy. Let us know how it works after time.

If you want it tighter you use a quarter or some similar coin and don't have to worry about damage

Hey Jstan, the takedown screw actually did get a bit looser after putting 16 rounds of snap caps through the lever action very quickly. The quarter did the trick. It tightened the screw to about 1/5 turn more than I could do with my hands. I did not force it anymore. It doesn't move at all now. So, anyone buying this screw, tighten it with a quarter after hand tightening, even if you have vice grip fingers.
