Ok Guy's/Gal's

I finally have everything done on my 2017 Henry Big Boy Classic. Did the following.

1. Replaced the Butt Plate and cut the LOP down to 12.25"
2. Replaced the factory sight with a Marbles Bullseye sight. ( Love these sights)
3. Drilled and Tapped for a Saddle Ring placed approx. where the older Winchesters were on the 1866
4. Put sling swivels and a sling on her.
5. Stripped the stock of original finish and put a wax finish on it. I really love the feel of the warmer wood/Wax finish
6. Put a Big Loop on her.

I have been putting off on getting another Henry Big Boy because of the LOP, I hate cutting down and trying to make the stock look decent. But it all worked out on this rifle and really fits me well. It goes right along with all my other levers and Loving the accuracy and just how comfortable this rifle is now.

I really like the way the stock turned out, and the added saddle ring is a nice touch, but
Not crazy about your location though, why so for back? :?:

That butt plate is nice, gives the rifle a whole new look.
I'd do my 44, except I really don't need the stock shortened.

Thanks Guy's

Most people do not need the stock shortened but I am only 5'5" short or tall depending on how you look at life. So if I don't shorten the LOP it's like holding a 2x4 on my shoulder. I figure also most people will wonder why I put the beads on all my levers. I do that as a tribute to my Lovely wife that I have been married to since we graduated high school after date our whole high school years together, 44 years total so far. She is 1/4 Lakota Indian and I do it in recognition of her heritage.

Overall a very nice looking rifle but the pic showing the beads really stood out to me. And that was before I read the history of them. Awesome.

Great job of the refinish and other mods you did! Now where do we send our Henrys for the finish treatment? :D
