Anyone here have the 45-70 with brass receiver and 22" barrel? Do you really like it a lot?

Yes. I have one and a brass 44 mag and love both of them. Very accurate rifles.

You will see nothing but positive comments about all 45-70 models on this forum (AW, Brass, Case Hardened).

without a doubt, in our consideration, the brass receiver of the H010B provided the best looking rifle .... in addition, for our use, the 22" offered a strong plus .... it is most certainly a rifle of which one can be very proud and that is of a quality to become a family heirloom

that said, we chose to go with the H010CC .... it has the same 22" barrel but offers a couple of other design features that are important to us .... one is a recoil pad and the other is a pistol grip stock .... we believe that the Color Case Hardened finish will stand up better to the type of use ours will be subjected to .... the biggest negative is it cannot be upgraded to a large loop lever .... it has proven to be a very accurate rifle

Henry produces the 45-70 in a variety of configurations .... it basically comes down to which one best meets a person's wants/needs

I would really like a 44mag with the 22" barrel to go with my mares leg. I'll look at the CC 22". Thanks all for the replys.
