Did I get a unicorn?

Here's what a stock Henry Classic H0244570 looks like:
I just looked at my actual rifle and I noticed that my muzzle length from the end of the loading tube is 1.8" in length.
This actually works out better for me as I'm having my gunsmith install a Terminator T3B muzzle brake. He'll need to move the front sight, but the big concern was going to be the reloading tube knob getting in the way.
I give up trying to load photos here. Just have to take my word for it - or go to

I wish I had read your last paragraph before I spent 5 minutes trying to open them.

Thank you. It's one of those things that you always wished for, but you actually get it and it's better than you imagined.

Can't explain the barrel/tube variation from the norm, but it definitely worked to your advantage regarding the brake- happy little accident

. Beautiful rifle, too.

I got my Skinner Express peep sight (solid brass version) and as I’m removing one of the factory screws on the top of the receiver it just breaks (think brittle steel). Turns out it is cross-threaded - from the factory. The other three of them came out smooth as silk. I took it to my gunsmith who is putting my muzzle brake on and asked him to get the screw out. He’s going to charge me (he’s a businessman I get it) but do I have any recourse with Henry to get reimbursed?

Call Henry and ask. All they can say is no, or they may offer swag in exchange for your inconvenience. Hopefully your guy won't charge too much for the removal.

Good idea. I've been wanting to get a large loop lever for it. It's $50 on Henrypride.com. Maybe that and something else.

Very happy with Henry support. I called them and explained what happened, and they asked me "what can we do to make this right?" I said that this is going to cost me a minimum of $75 from my gunsmith, that I would like a couple of items of that combined value from the Henry Pride site. She agreed, and the items are shipping out today to me.
Well done Henry.
