I ordered the Scout and had to return it. Whoops didn't know the eye relief had to be so far away. I now have a Leupold (tightly mounted) Freedom 1.5-4 to a picatinny rail with steel picatinny grabbing rings. The kick was so hard my scope was loosening up and sliding backwards. I thread locked the picatinny screws but not the scope. It won't budge now. Getting some nice groupings too! Hope this helps :-)

Buttttttttttt, if you would get a picatinny rail like in this pic you could do it if you really want to use a Scout scope

Thats what I am tjinking but di they have that long rail for it or have to modify. I an assuming that this extra long rail can somehow be mounted on top of dovetail blank which will cover the rear sight hole . Do they make dovetail blanks with screw holes for rail to be put on or the exrra long oart of rail just hangs over barrel..only screwed with 4 screws on top of reciever??

That's gonna require some research and maybe email Henry and ask how they did the All-Weather rig.
There are supposedly threads under the rear sight but don't quote me on that. Or it seats in the dove tail?
grey area here.

So you're really wanting to use a Scout huh?

Not hell bent on it. If its not too much headache. I'll rather get a guide gun and go scout on thst. I shot my friend's guide gun which had a vortex 2-7×32 scout and in close quarter hunting I can defintely see the advantage I mean you have this whole lot of side or periphary vision which is definitely an added advantage incase something jumps out or charge at ya from 10 yards while you settin crosshair on the one which is at 75 or 80 yards. I shot with scout scope and didn't have to get used to it or anything in terms of aiming. Took couple shots to get adjusted and were busting pepsi 2 liter water filled bottles with my handload of 405 grn jsp's.

I can keep my face 4 inches away from my Leupold and keep both eyes open so It's not horribly killing my field of view.
Nice! What was your distance?
