I would say the way things are now ANY 45 Colt ammo found will be great!
What are you looking for in 45 Colt and what type gun/rifle do you have?

Here is a list. As for cost, I don't have a clue. But, a lot of ammo has been listed from $.50 to $1.00 a round.

Not too long ago, my local Dunham's had Aguila 200 gr. 45 Colt for $65.00/50 rd. Also had some Hornady 255 gr for $30.00/20! A bunch of both...shelves full.
Check there if you have one local to you.

Yep,
Last time I figured it, 50 rd of handloaded 250 gr 45 Colt ammo cost me right around $12
That is calculated with powder and primer prices from 2+ years ago. Luckily, I have a bunch of each.

Dunham's had Magtech 45 Colt today. A bit less than the Aguila at $60/50 rd...

I scored a few rounds from a friend, and now have some brass, but just a few primers for reloading. Loaded ammunition or brass in 45lc is nonexistent around here.

I can get 300 rounds of stout hunting loads for my 45 Colt from a pound of powder, so that's about $10/100. I've got a good supply of both bullets and primers that I bought before the craziness. I can do a lot of shooting for not much money by loading my own.
