Who Are the Long Rifle Shooters Out There?
Who Are the Long Rifle Shooters Out There?
Haven't seen as much activity from the owners and shooters of the great Henry Long Rifle.
I have one in .243 Win. that I got in November. Shoots great with some nice furniture to go with it.
Let's hear from other Long Rifle fans. Check in with the caliber, a picture if you have one, and how long you've been LONG!

It's been a few days and haven't had a reply. I must be the only one with a Henry Long Rifle on this forum! Now I know why I haven't seen much regarding Long Rifle posts!

I like them, don’t have one, but they look like fine rifles.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

there are others, hopefully they will see this thread and chime in soon .... we don't have a Long Ranger but do have a 1970's vintage Browning BLR that is the rifle Henry used to come up with their design .... both have been proven to be very accurate rifles

I've been on the hunt for a Henry long ranger in 223 but have not been able to locate one, when it does I'll be bringing it home with me. Until then I'll be watching this thread for updates and to keep me entertained during my wait.

I had a Browning BLR in .30-06. Very accurate with the load I worked up. Shot a number of deer with it too.
The Henry rack and pinion is very similar. But the Henry fits me better and although it's a bit heavier, it's slimmer and for me, it handles very nicely.

my BLR is chambered for 308 and has taken black bear, boar and deer .... if I was in the market today the Long Ranger would be my first choice and I'd probably stick with 308

.308 is a great caliber. Short action and can take a wide variety of game. Easy shooting at the range. too.

great caliber indeed .... another reason I'd go for a 308 Long Ranger is I already have all of the equipment and supplies needed to load 308 ammo

Long Rifle Shooters is an ambiguous term to me... Do you mean long distance shooters or shooters with a long rifle?
I am the proud owner of a Winchester Model 1894 Sporting Rifle .30 WCF mfg. in 1908. It has a 26" Octagon Nickel Steel Barrel.
Not to sleight Henry though, I also have a Henry Lever Action Repeater Rifle .30-.30 cal. Model H009CC (Color Case Hardened Steel Frame) with a 20" Octagon Barrel.
