They say that women really like to shop and we husbands get bored waiting. Well today, January 6, 2021, I walked into one of my favorite gun shops. I was there for maybe 10 minutes doing the glancing thing when BAM there it was!! A Henry 45 Colt color case hardened with the side gate. Brand new..
Just what I wanted from Santa and here it was. It was saying to me "Take Me Home". 15 minute later after the 4473 was accepted,(I live in PA.) I was on the way home to introduce it to my Henry BBB in 357. Who says "Men can't shop" Bam!!!!

Bam indeed! Great find! You're going to really like that .45 Colt rifle. Do you handload for that? Anyway, enjoy!

Congratulations on the great find. You did well in getting that rifle. I have not seen one in the wild yet. Let us know how she shoots.

Way to go, I always say, the time to buy is when you see it. It's even more fun when you can hold it

When I got to the shop, the selection was pretty picked over. There were maybe 10 to 12 rifles on the rack and very few shot guns. Usually there are20 30 rifles and equal amount of shotguns and a very excellent variety of pistols. I went right to the Henry and was surprised to see that it was tagged brand new. I was shocked to find the one I really wanted still on the rack. As I was paying for it, the young sales lady asked if I wanted the 45 Colt ammo to go with it. I didn't pause even though the price was outrageous and I had a good load in the safe already. Just as I was leaving, the owner said that there 18,000 cleared purchases statewide by 12:00 noon today. I was grateful to be one of them.
