Big Boy Steel .357 side loader is in the house!

Post by Retiredguns » Thu Dec 17, 2020 5:13 pm

Today I took possession of the Rifle I have been waiting for forever. Love my carbine too, but always wished they would do a side gate. I might be the first guy within miles to have this rifle. When I picked it up from my FFL, he said he was envious as heck as his supplier has none to give him and people were wanting it for Christmas. I could have sold it for a premium on the spot but NO WAY! I can't wait to get to the range.

For now a few pics will have to suffice. I did load a couple rounds and it was typical in feel to all the other lever guns I have owned. Smoother than my Rossi 92 and should be as this rifle was $350 more. I like that it is made not too far from my home. This weekend I'll stitch on a small leather wrap on the lever like I always do. Looks cool and feels nice.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Congrats, but it looks more like a rifle in stead of the carbine.
Should be fun either way.

Yep, I wrote that I love my carbine too. I got the rifle this time, one because I didn't have the rifle and two, the carbine isn't available.....yet.
