Re: A part just broke on my BBSC 357
Deano, I can address one issue here and that is the offset white diamond on the rear sight. When I got my BBS 357, I noticed the same thing. Contacted Henry and they promptly sent me a replacement...same problem. Order must have been duplicated because they actually sent me two more...same offset on all three. Some suggested just turning the blade around. By that time, I had already decided to scope my rifle, so it is now a non issue. I know it should not be that way, however, I wrote it off as NBD.

Sure NBD, but it still would be good to have let Henry know what you got.

Henry customer service emailed me a shipping label today so I will get the rifle packed up for UPS tomorrow. I’ll be worried about how UPS handles it. I don’t want my stock broken or banged up.
Re: A part just broke on my BBSC 357
Wrap it as best you can inside the box. I'm hoping HRA sent you the details about NOT shipping it in its original white, logo'd box. Another outer box will help with protecting things, too.

I used the original box because it had the pre-fab retention structure inside. However, I wrapped the original with another layer of corrugated board, then wrapped it in heavy brown paper.ESquared wrote:Wrap it as best you can inside the box. Michael, how many of your rifles does Henry have in for repair? You gave us an update that you sent them the 22WMR by UPS three weeks ago.Blackdog wrote:...They have has my rifle for two months!

Re: A part just broke on my BBSC 357
From what I saw in the photos, the broken part appears to be a MIM part. Once in a while a part will have an internal weak spot that developed during the molding process, which is not visible from the outside. Eventually the part will fail. It happens when you mass produce machinery or any other products with metal parts.
I own a Kimber 1911 and the MIM thumb safety broke after I fired a few hundred rounds. I have fired thousands of trouble free rounds since it was replaced.
If you manufacture large numbers of a product, you will experience a problem once in a while.

Well UPS has my rifle now. They picked it up this afternoon. Henry should have it by Friday. I’ll feel better once I see that Henry received it. Then it’s a waiting game.

Re: A part just broke on my BBSC 357
Glad you got it wrapped and out. I'm in the same waiting game as well. They received mine on the 15'th. I wait for an email every day. That's ok though as long as It comes back satisfactory. I have no doubt, no matter how long it takes, that Henry USA will make it right...deano5150 wrote:Well UPS has my rifle now. They picked it up this afternoon. Henry should have it by Friday. Re: A part just broke on my BBSC 357
Lets see - late January, February, March, early April.
Guess I was wrong about the two month part.
Anyone want to buy the .22 magnum when it gets back?
