One thing I need to find out. The Sinner Express sight is taller than the Henry buckhorn sight but the RPP front sight is a little taller than the Henry front sight so the Skinner sight may work out. I have the Sinner set at it's lowest position. If it shoots high then I'll need to look at the RPP rear sight. Only a range trip will tell.

The RPP front sight has a width of 0.116" and a fiber optic diameter of 0.040", 2/3rds the size of standard fiber optic rods.

I would probably have gotten one rather than my BBB .357 if they had had one at my LGS.

I most likely would of as well however they were NOT available when I got my BBB (regular steel either - they were introduced about 6 months after I got mine)

The only detractor is the rubber butt pad but I could have lived with it or made something more traditional to replace it with.

I was able to get o the range this morning with the CCH .357 carbine and the new Ranger Point Precision sights. I sighted in with Remington UMC Value Pack .357 Magnum, 125 grain, soft jacket, hollow point ammo and I fired for a group with Federal Brass .357 Magnum, 158 grain, jacked soft point ammo at 25 yards off a bench.

The large target is the sight-in target and the smaller targets are the group targets. The sight-in target has two shot groups for sight-in. The four shots at the center are two sight-in groups. The four shot group on the upper left corner of the is an old group using the Skinner sight not fired today. You can see that my .357 carbine likes the 125 grain round over the 158 grain round and the RPP sights.

The 125's look great! How difficult was it to drive out the Henry front sight and did the new one go in or did it need some fitting?

Good to know those sights worked together. Not sure if you reload would be curious to see Rifletoms 180 load also.

The front sight came out easily. Brass punch and small hammer. I soaked the sight with gun oi overnight first and I had no problem getting it off. Any new sight will need some minor fitting to the dovetail. This is necessary to get a proper, tight fit. Just file one side of the new sight until you can get the new sight about 1/3 to 1/2 the way into the dovetail and then use the brass punch and small hammer to drive the sight fully on and centered on the barrel.

No, I don't reload. No room right now. Can't help you with the 180 grain bullets but they sound effective.

Update: This is my .357 CCB carbine with a Brass Stacker sling/cartridge holder. The cartridge holder slides on the sling so you can position it as needed. Almost done. I'm waiting on a nice dovetail filler from Brownell's.
